Commercial Director — Haulers & Municipalities

Fill the facility. You'll sign the haulers, municipalities, and contractors who bring volume to Operation 1—building the customer book that turns capacity into revenue. This is a relationship-driven role for someone who knows the Detroit-metro waste market.
Key Responsibilities
- •Build and close a book of hauler, municipal, and C&D contractor business
- •Develop pricing and disposal agreements that win volume profitably
- •Own the Detroit-metro pipeline from prospecting through signed contracts
- •Represent McCoy with municipalities, contractors, and industry partners
- •Work with operations on capacity, scheduling, and customer onboarding
- •Hit volume and revenue targets through facility ramp
- •Inform pricing strategy with market intelligence
Required Qualifications
- •7+ years in waste, recycling, logistics, or industrial B2B sales/BD
- •Existing relationships in the Detroit-metro waste or construction market
- •Track record closing volume-based or commodity contracts
- •Strong commercial instincts on pricing and margin
- •Comfortable in a startup environment building from zero
Preferred Qualifications
- •Relationships with regional haulers, municipalities, or C&D contractors
- •Understanding of disposal economics and transfer/rail logistics
- •Experience launching a new facility or service in a market
