Key Responsibilities
- •Manage solid-waste and environmental permits with Michigan EGLE and local agencies
- •Build and run the site safety program (OSHA compliance, training, audits)
- •Develop chain-of-custody and handling procedures for medical/specialty streams
- •Lead regulatory inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping
- •Establish the compliance standards future McCoy sites will inherit
- •Investigate incidents and drive corrective action
- •Partner with operations to bake compliance into daily workflows
Required Qualifications
- •5+ years in environmental compliance, EHS, or regulatory affairs in waste or heavy industry
- •Working knowledge of solid-waste permitting and OSHA requirements
- •Experience managing regulatory relationships and inspections
- •Strong documentation and program-building skills
- •Bachelor's in environmental science, engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience with medical / regulated medical waste (RMW) handling
- •Familiarity with Michigan EGLE solid-waste regulations
- •Certifications (CHMM, CSP, or equivalent)
- •Experience permitting or opening a new facility
