Scale House Operator / Gate Attendant

The first and last point of contact for every load. You'll run the scale and gate—weighing trucks, capturing manifests, and keeping inbound flow moving—while the automated gate and billing systems come online. Customer-facing, detail-driven, and central to accurate billing and chain-of-custody.
Key Responsibilities
- •Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and record accurate ticket data
- •Capture loads, manifests, and customer information at the gate
- •Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records
- •Provide friendly, efficient service to haulers and customers
- •Help operate and validate automated gate, scale, and billing systems
- •Flag non-conforming or unauthorized loads to operations
- •Keep the scale house and gate area orderly and compliant
Required Qualifications
- •1+ year in a customer-facing, data-entry, or cashier/clerical role
- •Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- •Comfortable with computers and point-of-sale or scale software
- •Reliable and professional with customers
- •High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience in a scale house, transfer station, or logistics yard
- •Familiarity with waste manifests or chain-of-custody documentation
- •Bilingual a plus
